We’re also looking for short stories/memories (even if just a couple sentences) of the decades. Feel free (anyone at all, don’t be afraid to share!) to send your stories to us at stories@raidersremember.org. We’re going to be compiling them to share.
We have a loan agreement for you if you’d like to share that special item with us for the big day. We are extremely protective of your belongings! Please fill it out, sign, and bring/mail with your item(s). Instructions are below.
Here is a list of what we are looking to acquire for the big memorabilia room & exhibit. Of course any new suggestions are welcome:
- Prom gowns (and associated photo of the owner wearing the dress!), one from each decade.
- Photos of proms held in the gymnasium (we believe the last one was in the early 60’s)
- Prom & Semiformal invitations and favors
- Athletic uniforms, preferably shirts with names
- Band uniforms, hats, batons, etc.
- Cheering squad uniforms, megaphone, pom poms, etc.
- National Honor Society programs
- Concert programs
- Play programs
- Graduation invitations and programs
- Banners; championship, Musictown, etc.
- Sports programs
- Graduation caps and gowns
- Class rings
We have a great collection of yearbooks, but are still looking for the following:
- Class of 1967 (we have 0 – ZERO – copies! Need at least 1, ideally 2 or 3!)
The following yearbooks we have only 1 copy, and would like 1-2 more if possible, as backup:

Directions for delivery of memorabilia loans or donations:
The window of time to drop off or send any memorabilia starts 3/17/14 and closes Saturday 06/14/14.
To drop off any memorabilia in person:
- Print the Loan Agreement, fill out and sign
- Take the loan agreement & your item (they MUST go together) to the Somerset Historical Society, 274 High St, Somerset, MA 02726, Saturdays between 9am – 11am. You can also contact Diane by emailing memorabilia@raidersremember.org to set up an appointment if you cannot come on Saturdays.
To mail any memorabilia:
- Print the Loan Agreement, fill out and sign
- Mail the loan agreement & your item (they MUST go together) to: Somerset Historical Society, PO Box 53, Somerset, MA 02726
- Any oversized items will be stored at the post office in a special place for the Historical Society 🙂
